Deviated Nose Correction in Seoul, Korea

Who is Deviated Nose Correction for?

  • Your nose leans to one side
  • One side of your nose often feels blocked
  • Your nose became crooked after an injury

How Deviated Nose Correction works

A crooked nose usually involves the nasal bones, the septum or both. Straightening only the outside without correcting the septum often leads to the deviation returning.

The septum is straightened or partly removed, and the nasal bones are repositioned with osteotomy. Grafts may be used to camouflage residual asymmetry.

Breathing is assessed with endoscopy so functional problems are treated in the same operation.

Our approach to Deviated Nose Correction

  1. Septal correction

The deviated septum is straightened or partly removed.

  2. Osteotomy

    Bent nasal bones are repositioned.

  3. Function assessment

Airway blockage is treated together with the shape.

  1. AssessmentCT and endoscopy show the bone and septal deviation.
  2. SeptoplastyThe septum is straightened.
  3. Bone repositioningOsteotomies straighten the nasal bones.
  4. Camouflage and splintGrafts refine symmetry and a splint is applied.

Risks and side effects of Deviated Nose Correction

  • Swelling and bruisingPeaks at 2–3 days and mostly settles within 2 weeks; fine swelling can take months.
  • Residual deviationSevere deviations may not become perfectly straight.
  • Temporary congestionBreathing is blocked for 1–2 weeks while internal swelling settles.

All medical procedures carry risks. Your surgeon will review your medical history, explain the risks that apply to you and discuss alternatives before you decide.

WhenWhat to expect
Day 0Surgery and rest in a private recovery room; most patients return to their hotel the same day. Cold compresses start straight away.
Days 2–3Swelling and bruising usually peak. Keep your head elevated, walk gently and avoid alcohol, saunas and exercise.
Days 5–7Check-up at the clinic; stitches, splints or tapes are removed where used. Most patients are cleared to fly after this visit.
Week 2Most visible swelling has eased and many people return to desk work and light make-up.
Months 1–3Residual swelling keeps settling and the shape refines. Strenuous exercise is usually resumed after 4 weeks.
Months 6–12The final result is generally assessed at this stage. We follow up online after you return home.

Aftercare tips

  • Sleep with your head raised for the first 1–2 weeks.
  • Do not wear glasses on the bridge for about 4 weeks.
  • Avoid blowing your nose, swimming and saunas for 2–4 weeks.
  • Stop aspirin, fish oil and vitamin E 1–2 weeks before surgery unless your doctor says otherwise.
